*When I make these smoothies I add a tablespoon of ground flax seeds & 1 tablespoon of ground psyllium.

Green Smoothie:

  • 1 cup almond milk or coconut milk
  • 1 banana, sliced and frozen ahead of time
  • 1 cup raw spinach, washed
  • 1 cup raw kale, washed (be sure to remove the stems)
  • 1 cup sliced fresh pineapple or papaya

Pumpkin Smoothie:

  • 1/2 cup pureed pumpkin
  • 1 cup almond milk or coconut milk
  • 1 banana, sliced and frozen ahead of time
  • 1 carrot, chopped (optional)
  • 1 cup of plant-based vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or powdered vanilla bean
  • 1 sliver fresh ginger root
  • nutmeg & cinnamon to taste
  • 1 cinnamon stick for garnish (definitely optional but looks nice:)

Dr. Chutkan’s Magic Smoothie

In Dr. Robynne’s book when describing this smoothie she recommends “Having this smoothie every day while on her 10 day plan (which I describe in my blog entitled: Healthy Changes!), either in the morning for breakfast or as a snack later in the day.”

  • 1 sliced ripe banana
  • 2 cups organic mixed berries
  • 1 cup of raw spinach, kale, collards, or chard (washed and remove the stem for sure)
  • 1 tablespoon ground psyllium husk
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seed
  • 1 cup of crushed ice
  • 1 cup almond milk, coconut milk or coconut water (I use coconut water the most)
  • Blend well and drink immediately

Enjoy the smoothies!
